What size grommets are in the Hobie tramps and how thick is the foam plug that is in the mast base? Thanks, Bob. |

They're #4 spur grommets. You can get a kit to do 24 grommets (hole punch, dies, 24 grommets/washers with teeth) at McMaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#two-piece-grommets/=bzl06z They aren't quite the same, since you would be installing with a hammer/die instead of the production bench press that Hobie Cat uses. The foam plug is about 4" thick. |

That's pretty cool... any reason you could not use the stainless ones... aside from being a bit more expensive? I seem to recall some stainless gromets somewhere on a Hobie of some kind... |
