Do I have to take my crossbar end casting off to get the slugs into the tramp channel? |

The correct answer is no. The wing slugs will fit in the slot where you insert the tramp, The tramp has to come off, insert the slug or slugs, put the tramp on. If you want to sail with the wings off, leave the slugs in place. |

There must be different diameter slugs cause there was no way the ones I had were gonna fit in the tramp slot openeing.... I bought (4) wing "anchor" plates (the type that rivet to the crossbars). I know if I install the aft starboard plate I will not be able to remove the tramp without drilling the rivets. I was thinking about using long through bolts and bolting the plate to the cross bar so it can be easily rem, oved. Opinions? I figures this will not compromise strength since I'd also be drilling 4 holes in the crossbat if I were to rivet it on.... |

Instructions I have say pre-84 boats require enlarging of the slot, so no, probably not different sized. |

I think you may need to add some inner support so you don't pul the bar together. A tube like the mast has at the rotator arm bolt. |

I've got magnum wings and one of the nuts that secure them to the crossbar was missing when we pulled it out of the water last week. Does anyone know what size that nut is offhand? |

5/16 diameter 18 threads per inch. (course) Use a 1/4 diameter -20 threads per inch bolt, washers, and nuts to connect the wings to the tabs, (instead of a pin). It keeps everything tighter. |
