How do all of the different 18's compare. Such as an early 80's 18, newer 18 and the newer 18SX's? |

The progression is H18, H18 magnum and then H18SX. The '70 boats are heavy. The early '80 boats are a little lighter. I think the magnum came out in '83. Same as original except with wings. SX hit around '86, the end of Colemans ownership. SX has taller rig, more sail area, mylar/dacron sail and longer, lighter wings.'86 also introduced the new rudder config. H18 and 18SE are the same boat. |
