| Post subject: | Spinnaker Rigging |
I have my spinnaker sheets run through blocks attached to the side stays. Works great, but when my daughter is crewing she is a little on the "light" side to hold the sheet when powered up. How do others deal with the strength needed to hold on to the spinnaker? |

I have two blocks. One outboard near shrouds and a second "turning block" amidship on front crossbar. Both blocks are harken carbo ratchet blocks. |

How did you attached the blocks to the front cross bar? Pictures? |

Used an eye strap riveted to crossbar in the middle of each side at the hiking strap on the back side facing the tramp. Boat at storage lot, will try to get pic. Doesn't give 2:1 purchase sheet goes from spin clew thru outboard block, thru crossbar block, but the double ratchet allows enough friction to hold spin sheet easily. Jim. |

Great description, no pic necessary. Already working on it....waiting on epoxy to dry, so drilling a few holes seems like a good use of my time. |
