Is there a difference in markings for Hobie 18 vs Hobie 18sx sails? I am dealing with a boat that may or may not have an SX mast on it, and I can't tell which sails would fit on it. It came with mylar sails in very poor condition that are barely longer than standard Hobie 18 sails but that have a HUGE roach. The Marking is the Hobie H and an 18 in a circle. If these are SX sails, should they be marked differently? And, if this is indeed an SX mast, why are both standard Hobie 18 sails as well as this mylar sail clearly way too short? I wish I could figure out how to upload pictures here. |

I can also not find a lot of information on what size Hobie 18 standard sails or sx sails should be. |

18 SX would have (18SX) in a circle or the word "Formula" up near the Flying H. Mylar would be SX. The mast was 1.5 feet longer. SX mast has a spinnaker tang I believe. |
