Thanks SLO Sail for the new Jib. I'm very happy with it

Looks great.

Interesting to see the Hobie tiger main on the H18.. .... Did not realise that the foot of the main was as short as is on the picture

Would give an eye tooth for the spinny

Cool looking boat.

The spinnaker setup looks nice and clean.

The Tiger main looks like the luff is a bit long. It looks like you are almost maxed out on travel (tack all the way down to the gooseneck) but the luff is still pretty full. Maybe add a new tack grommet a couple inches up from the foot of the sail to attach the downhaul blocks to. This would give you a bit more tuning range when the wind comes up.

I still have a couple more inches I could down haul but currently I'm using a 5 to1 system and its hard to crank it down any further (up grade? ). I have also looked at putting a smaller hook ring and shackle up high to move the main up an inch or two.

It's a work in progress...

I'm also still trying to decide weather to cut the stock H18 boom down, use a H14 boom or to go the tiger route.

Next upgrades are Eva Grip for the side rails and trap lines with red Ronstan handles from Murray's.

I use an 8:1 downhaul. I feel that this is essential for square top mains when trying to max performance ... especially if you are using a stock standard aluminium mast.

This is not my downhaul nor is it an 8:1 but shows the concept thereof

Yes my plan is to upgrade to an 8:1

This boat has a comp tip, I believe all the SX's came with comp tips.

One more weekend then its re-rigging for Round TI then the North Americans at Avila.
