Post subject:  SX wing attachment bolt questions?

I removed the wings for some racing. Now I want to put them back on. One of the threaded rods came out (seemed stripped) this rod is like a bolt, but with no head. Just threads to both ends.
What does it screw into in the rear forward track? There appears to be a piece of metal in the slot. It moves side to side. Is this one of those bars with the threaded hole in it? I can't get to it
to rotate it around into place. I'm assuming it's like the shroud lugs that we find under the shroud connections on the hulls. (that metal lug that's under the outside hull lip).

How do I get that rod into position to thread the threaded rod back in? What is this threaded rod called to order the part. It had two nuts on it. One to stop it from threading in further...
then a nut to hold the aft wing post on.

Please confirm that this rod threads into a threaded hole in the aft cross bar slot? In trying to rotate that lug in there I don't see a hole so far?

I found the 18SX manual online - but apparently they forgot it has wings.
It does talk about TOWING though! ???

I found the answers on murrarys - I was right assuming there is a treaded hole. Now I have to figure out how to align it with the new screw I ordered to replace the threaded one.

with 2 sharp "picks" you should be able to rotate the plug into position.

I fought this same thing last weekend after changing out a trampoline. Bring your boat to Availa for the North Americans and I'll help you with it.

If you do not want to make the drive them maybe this photo will help. There should be no bolts going into the crossbars. There should be a length of thread all with an allan wrench hole in one end. It goes through the reinforcement plate riveted to the crossbar and screws into a bar that slides inside the crossbar tramp track. Note the bar in the photo below is from the Starboard rear position it about an inch longer than the others three. Also be aware at some point Hobie changed from coarse thread to fine thread, be sure to match up correctly. My 91SX has coarse thread.

Good luck,
