| Post subject: | H18 Magnum Wing End Casting |
Hi all... Question. (First post) H18 Magnum Wing Leg Casting. Is it the same as the H18SX Wing Leg Casting ? (Hobie part # 65030010 I think) Many hours of fishing about online for the info have turned up nothing definitive...  The PO of my 18 seems to have replaced one with a bolt through the leg into the rear cross beam, would like to make it right. They both look the same, but would hate to order one and find out it won't fit... Thanks in advance! |

I assume you're talking about the wing leg endcap casting that serves as the "hinge" for the leg? I don't see why they'd be different, I would imagine hobie would make them the same for simplicity's sake, both for production and for parts. However, Hobie ran out of many of the wing parts a year or two ago and removed them from their parts listing. You might be hard pressed to find/order a replacement unless you can find someone who has one used. Doesn't hurt to call around though! |

Thanks Mike. It definitely looks the same. I was able to find one through an online supplier, they seem to be still available. (West Coast Sailing, Murrays) I'll find out for sure when it gets here... scratch one part off the shopping list!
