Post subject: | Spreader Bar Cover Part # and Diamond Wire Tension Setting |
Curious if anyone has a part number for the H18 or H18SX spreader bar covers. To my amazement, I've been sailing for the past 6 years with my spreader bars on backwards (they came with the boat that way). Just finished flipping them around, but want to put on new spreader covers. Also I'm looking for any information regarding how to set the diamond wire tension? I've read a few things that said to squeeze the diamonds 12" above the bottom attachment point and that should touch the mast. I'm not real sure about that, anything a little more detailed would be helpful. Thank you, Adam |

Hobie catalogue page 13, part number 3262. Re: diamond wire tension i'd keep using the forum search function as there are many threads about this that provide different answers. I guess at the end of the day it depends if your racing or not and just getting out there to try the different setups to compare to performance. |
