Does anyone know if it is possible to convert the mainsail of a 18 to a boomless configuration like that of a 17? |

It is most likely possible but your mast rotation control would have to be reconfigured. It uses the boom. The main would also need some time at a sailmaker to reinforce it so the blocks could attach directly. |

Chip at Whirlwind Sails is making me a boomless sail for my 18SX. It will get a reinforced clue plate with multiple holes like a Getaway. Mast rotation will be controlled by a line from the control arm to the center lacing on the tramp, limiting over - rotation. I'll post pics when it's done. |
