Any recommendations for a wind indicator for the Hobie 18? I used to sail with a buddy that had a Hobie 16 and he had the Telo Cat Wind Vane that was great but it does not appear this will work. |

Telocat works well and can be installed on a Hobie 18. You just need to buy the adapter to allow it to be installed on the furler drum. I also recommend drilling a small hole at the top of the arm of the Telocat so you can install a cotter pin/split ring. This will keep the unit from accidentally dropping out of the retaining bracket and getting lost. sm |

Thank you srm. Is the adapter you are referring to the Hobie furler adapter CM7705? |

Now that I have added a spinnaker, I had to remove my beloved Telocat, with split ring. This has resulted in a large debate: Which is better? 4 track tape or 8 track tape.... We attach about 8" to each bridle wire. |
