A couple questions, please. 1. What is the proper length of the rear H-18SX shock cords w/hooks as we need to replace both. 2. I believe that there are different types of black shock cords we have bought from Hobie dealers. Is there a standard black shock cord that is best for H-18SX use? Thanks. |

John, there are several types of bungee out there. Get the one with UV resistant cover, it will last longer and holds the metal clips( forgot what they are called) better. I think West Marine has it or Layline. |

The Hobie 18 trapeze shock cords are 1/4" diameter and 7 feet long. We sell only UV protected shock cords. Years ago they were nylon covered which burns up sooner. These days they are polyester covered and UV coated. |
