Post subject:  Missing H18 Anti-Chafe Tape Installation Instructions

Does anyone have the instructions for installing the H18 Anti-Chafe tape part # 1493?
I need the tape placement measurements, from the luff of the sail, for each of the batten positions. I recieved instructions with measurements for the H14 and H16 inside the bag, but nothing for the H18.

Thanks,
Keith

Don't have directions but as I recall the strips are all the same length. My thoughts would be to center the strip at the wear point, or rig the boat and pull the sail out against the sidestays and use the contact point for reference. It will rub fore and aft of the contact point.

ncmbm,
Thanks for the idea.
However; instead of rigging my sail to determine the measurements, I remembered that I had a very old (retired) H18 main sail in my basement. I pulled it out and used the side stay wear marks, on my old sail, to figure out where to place the anti-chafe tape.

In case someone else has the same question I had; here are the measurements I obtained (measured from the luff of the main).

Each foot long section of anti-chafe tape was centered at the following batten pocket location.
#7 at 7"
#6 at 13"
#5 at 20"
#4 at 26"
#3 at 32"
#2 at 38"
#1 at 43" (longest batten pocket)
