A: Does anybody use these?

B: How is the "Keeper" supposed to be attached to the mast. The directions say to attach to the diamond wires and imply that there's a picture but there's not.

This was standard on the 21 Sport Cruiser and allowed us to right the boat with under 300 lbs. Worked great. 16s and 18s can likely right solo.

The wire you are talking about keeps the mast on the step. This wraps around the striker post and then up to the mast to tension appropriately. I would guess ( never used one on an 18 ) that the diamonds attachment bolt is a logical place to attach it.

The cable is just the right length to fasten at the bolt but I'm going to need a longer bolt (which didn't come with) and some big washers because the cable has one of those no kink teardrops on both ends. It looks like that setup would impair the mast rotation as well. I'm assuming it goes around the front of the crossbar?

Right now I've got a couple of small clevises around the bottom of the turnbuckles. And the cable is doing a number on my black annodized crossbar.

Yeah, I see the reference to a photo, but none of my records has the photo. The text says it wraps around the striker and come aft behind the crossbar.

Matt, you said it worked great, but I had them on and I could never figure out how to pull the pin when it was laying in the water. How did you do that?
