i read on a later post, rail tape is an accessory, that answers the latter part of my question. however, there is peeling and small bubbles on the rails, do i just tape over them? and what is the material that peels, again just on the rails.

Better have your dealer look at "bubbles" and "peeling" that doesn't sound right. Our warranty department can review with the dealer.

Another 'TIP' that I have used for minor scratches, dings, or small 'chips';..... is a method I used to repair minor damage to Ultralight propellers. I just place a small drop of 'Super Glue' over the 'blemish' and work it in, and smooth it out (do NOT use bare fingers!). For slightly deeper nicks, you can sprinkle some 'baking power', to give it a bit of body. Glue seems to keep the chips 'in place' and seals the scratches, ..... don't know if it will harm the board's surface.... but so far, no visible problems. Any comment, from HOBIE on the PRO's or CON's? :?:
