Getting a 2021 Compass, which I believe has additional scupper holes. Does the vertical hatch still fit between the scupper holes and the drive well?

The vertical hatch will fit the Compass. Here's a link to another forum where a Compass user used the vertical hatch in conjunction with our deck pads normally used on an outback:

Thanks. That hatch install is on a 2019 compass though. In 2021 Hobie added 2 additional scupper holes just in front of the seat making the space a available for the hatch smaller

I installed the vertical hatch on my 2021 Compass yesterday. No issues.

The hatch fits with the added scupper on current model year product. Take care in trimming as there's not as much room to spare. I can confirm, no fit issues on 2021 MY.

anyone care to post some pics? I cant see the front scupper holes on the Hobie Website.

isn't the big pedal drive hole a sufficient drain? I accumulate zero water in my 2019

Hey, yes. It'll fit.

Here's a link to my own 2021 compass on Facebook. I just did the install a few days ago.

I just installed the vertical hatch on my 2019 Compass Duo successfully. Wanted to post here in this thread because as I was researching whether to use the vertical (my preference) or horizontal format I couldn’t find anyone who had posted online an example of using the vertical hatch in a Duo. Turns out it does fit, it’s a bit tight between the drive well housing and the scupper hole housings, but with careful positioning it fits fine. The drop-in tray fits great too—I think the vertical hatch eliminates the concern about the tray sometimes not fitting all the way down into the hatch.

I just picked up my 2022 Compass yesterday and can report that the vertical hatch will NOT fit the 2022 due to the redesigned seat, the seat would overlap the hatch making it impossible to open. So for 2022 models it's horizontal hatch only. I wanted the vertical hatch for more room to put my feet but my dealer assured me the hatch is plenty strong enough to stand on.

Sucks to hear as I am picking up two 2022 compasses and really want the vertical hatch. Can Hobie mod verify that the vertical hatch can't be installed in.the 2022 due to the seat being closer to the drive well?

Correct - only the horizontal version can.
