Thoughts anyone? 1. Are the reinforced cart wheel scuppers on the new Compass strong enough to use with a thru hull 5’ anchor pole (made of 3/4” pvc) without damaging the boat? 2. Is there a recommended anchor line attachment point (for now)? I may be installing an anchor trolley at a later date. 3. Are well nuts & stainless bolts the most secure way to attach things to the hull if their are no inner hull access points? 4. What can be used as a storage box in the stock round twist and lock compartment? Thanks! Chuck |

The scuppers aren't designed for this and if any damage occurs with this setup, the hull warranty would be void. 2. The only anchor solution from Hobie is the anchor trolley kit (part # 72020273) 3. The well nut assemblies from Hobie are pretty dang strong. If you want to thru-bolt near the bow or stern, and can't reach the backing hardware through the center hatch, I'd recommend installing access hatches (also good for holding batteries). 4. Deep gear bucket, part number 71704021 OR Hobie Gear bucket (shallow with compartments), part number 71704001) |

"2. Is there a recommended anchor line attachment point (for now)? I may be installing an anchor trolley at a later date. " I used a 2 1/4" Yak Gear Zig Zag cleat mounted to the H-Track. These little cleats will hold your anchor line securely and provide quick and easy access should you want to adjust the length of your line. Note that I mounted the cleat to the H-Track so that it can be removed - which is handy if you want to transport or store your Compass upside down.
