The molded lifting handles are inadequate for lifting my compass onto my car rack. My revolution was easy to load with the provided handles. Can anyone suggest a user friendly location to install the hobie handles I purchased?

For picking up the boat, you'll want the handles near the center of lift. The existing handles should be close. Mark your C/L and mount your handles as close as possible. Be sure you can get through-hull access for your mounting hardware -- you may have to get creative.

Here's another way to lift your boat:

I prefer to have the grips positioned for grabbing while underway for stability occasionally, so the fore and aft lift protocol works for that.8)

Hobie actually makes a handle kit that mounts on the inside of the seat risers.

I have it on mine and makes lifting way easier. ImageImage
