I have the Thule DockGrip kayak holder for my roof rack. I am practicing loading it on top of my Honda Passport for the trip. I have some questions about the transport and storage while at the beach. Is it terrible to leave the kayak on top of my car while I'm not using it down there? I realize it's not ideal or "recommended", but I'm not sure how much punishment (UV rays, etc.) this thing can take. Can I store it on the sand without being concerned about the hull or rudder? Am I being too paranoid? |

Just go and enjoy yourself and not worry. ![]() I just did a 4 week vacation in the Florida Keys and stored my TI on the pool deck or on a boat lift for the entire time. Before I went I gave the entire boat a good treatment with Aerospace 303 UV protectant and hosed it down with freshwater after every use. https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=65145 |

Thanks for the tip on the Aerospace 303. I will try to find that on my way down there. I imagine it should be in a decent boat/fishing shop down there. |
