Trying to determine if a Garmin Striker 4 CV ... with the extended 6 inch transducer ... will fit in the Compass' transducer mount ...

Fits but you have to cut the Hobie plate a bit with a dremel or something.

I cut off the corners of the Garmin piece and the back posts of the Hobie plate. It's secured with 3 zip ties.

Modifying the plate would not affect the hull in any way I would think. The only thing we would not warranty would be directly related to this modification. If it stressed some other part or caused damage it might not be covered, but modifications do no "void" warranty.
