This is not unusual. These are brass inserts for reinforcing the front of the well and the forward one for the accessory mount. Caps are cosmetic covers for the blind threaded inserts... not a hole through. The brass is held to the mold by a screw during molding. Then released. The boats shrink as they cool and often will show this sort of thing. |
