Post subject: | Corner casting replacement |
I have to replace the front port corner casting on my hobie 16.If anyone has some insight into this give me some heads up please. Some initial questions I have are as follows. Should I tighten the dolphin striker nut before or after putting in rivits? How important is it to have boat level when putting back together? Any suggestions on a marine sealent to put in castings to reduce squeaking. Does the casting come with bolt hole already drilled? |

The bolt hole may have to be drilled. The castings are drilled for the smaller / current bolt size. Grease the pylon. Tighten the striker after fully assembling and riveting. Level boat would be good before drilling the pylon bolt hole. |
