Post subject: | Jib Sheet Car sheave replacement |
I have a '83 Hobie 16. My sheeves in my jib sheet cars are breaking apart. I have not been able to find a part number or any information on replacing. IE has anyone drilled out and measured existing ones, and what did they replace the metal piece through the middle with. Any ideas? - Edward |

West Marine sells a Delrin sheave and also a Harken bearing sheave. The Harken part number was indicated in the post. Drill out the old one and use a clevis pin and ring ding.

Seems that the clevis pin we use is the 1/4 x 7/8 (HC 8020381). Sometimes we use the cotter pin, sometimes we use the lock ring - depends on buyer preference. |
