Post subject:  What is best for outboard ends of trailer bunks... rollers?

I am making a trailer and need advice as to recommended ends of bunks. One article I read stated to keep away from rollers, but most trailers I have seen online have rollers?? Are padded bunks better? By the way, anyone know where to find these items? The closest dealer to me is a long way away. Thanks again,
John

First, CHECK with your local Hobie dealer. If they can't help, you might check trailer supply stores such as Champion Trailers online. Not sure where, but recently saw the roller with roller ends online.

I have solid rubber rollers about 5" long angled outwards and they were pretty rough on my polyurethane painted hulls, particularly when sand stuck to the hulls. To solve this, I cut 5" strips out of a berber type outdoor doormat and glued them around the rubber rollers with contact cement. So far they have worked great.
