What are the effects of too much or too little rudder toe-in? Also where is the best place to measure? I'm thinking near the bottom somewhere since the leading edge at the top is a lot thicker than the trailing edge which may tend to introduce error during measurement. |

Go back to the Hobie cat forum Index and select "hobie sailng FAQ" Matt Miller has wrote a tread on Ruders. This should help. |

Tim H16 wrote: The following is Matt's article on "Rudders - cams / rake / alignment" Doesn't really answer the question. What are the effects or symptoms of misalignment? Excessive helm....excessive drag...what exactly? I played with mine for half an hour but could only get within 1/4 or 3/8 inch or so. 1/8 inch doesn't seem very forgiving considering all the slop in the H16 design.
