i called hobie and they said 70+or - so i went out and weighed mine. keep in mind this is just the pontoons. port hull was 87lbs and starboard hull was 92lbs  so i took the plugs out and no water but to my shock ....... sand and more sand. so i spent the day rinsing much of the sand out and now letting them air dry in the warm florida heat  so go weigh yours and let us know if your hobie 16 is overweight like mine. i plan to do a full liposuction and tummy tuck next week!

my 1983 hulls weigh 82lb and 85lb... i have added a bit of epoxy to the bottoms... because i drag it up the beach with a winch quite a bit..... http://www.waldorfs.com/CutDownWEB2.jpg |
