Hi, should one trap wire be longer than the other .The one wire has a pigtail that is about 12" long than a thimble on the end connected to the other trap wire with a shackle. Is this normal .I'am tring to post a picture of it but i can't figure out how.

The wire with a pig tail is a very early system for getting double trapeze on an older mast with single shackle. The second trap wire should be shorter so the two match at the handle point. If you have a newer wire... you should just hang next to the one with the pigtail rather than on the pigtail.
