I have recently aquired a 1978 Hobiecat 16 and the vinyl trampoline is a faded rough tan color. I am wondering if anyone knows of something that I could coat it with to prolong life. Has anyone tried outdoor polyurethane or would this ruin the vinyl or break down its integrety. I looked through 10 pages here and did not find anything. Also the mainsail and jib (starting at the deck) are yellow, light orange, orange, and red and continues these colors to the top. The number on the main is in the 28000s. Can anyone tell me about them? I am new to Hobies and this forum and any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :?: :?:

I would buy a new tramp if yours is failing at the grommets, and I believe the sail is called Flamer.

The tramp is ok just a bit faded and shows a bit of rough where a person would sit. I relaced with new line and it is fine. The sails are beautiful and no rips or patches. It also came with a square frame on the front of the tramp frame. I though at first this was to but a battery box for a trolling motor but I believe it is a cooler rack. Thanks so much for the reply.

Your sail sounds like a 1975 "Flamer"

Go to page 18 for sail color history.
