Post subject:  New Jib on Old Boat

I am currently hunting for a new jib for my '80 H16. Would there be any problems caused by using a new cut jib (one designed for mast rake) on an unraked mast? Im not exactly sure hoe much the length of the luff would differ.

Thanks

Should be no problem. Newer jibs are shorter and higher at the tack. You should just have to adjust the clew blocks attachement location on the five hole plate for best shape with your more-upright mast rake.

Noob, when was your standing rigging last replaced? Old rigging is a dismast waiting to happen.
