I am on my second season of learning to use the trap. I am having a hard time getting reliable footing on the rail. I have tried several wet shoes but only the really cold weather ones work well. Do most people use an anti-slip surface on their rails? What are the pros and cons of the different ones? |

Go to your local Hobie dealer & buy a neoprene rail kit. There should be instructions on how to install it with the kit. It'll make a world of difference. First time I tried trapping out on my 16 in San Felipe, Mexico with bare rails, I learned why I never liked doing the "splits". ![]() |

I picked up six feet of outdoor carpet runner and a small can of contact cement from Lowes. All for less than 15 bucks. Works great! Whatever you do, don't put non-skid paint or appliques on your rails. It will rip your legs to pieces. |
