There is a bolt that holds the metal part of the mast to the fiberglass part. ( I assume it's fiberglass or some non-conductive material) Mine is missing and I can't seem to locate it on the Hobie part diagram. is this something I can buy and if so where? |

The original 1985 CompTips had a bolt. That is no longer available. You can use anything there. Should be epoxied in place at the minimum and bolted / riveted. |

Can anyone give the specs of the bolt that was originally installed in the 1985 Comptip mast? Length size type ? Believe it was a sex bolt? |

Was a sister screw... flat head on each end. One long clear through was female threaded. Then a short standard flat head screw. I don;t have the specs. Better to glue in place with epoxy and add some stainless rivets for good measure. |
