I'm considering this 16 but not sure what year it is, or what range of years....
(can't add photo here, I guess)

Plain white hull, no stripes, "Hobie Cat" is spelled out in large letters along the side of the hull below the tramp.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Best to check the starboard transom, for the serial no. The last two digits will show the year of manufacture. (Its engraved on )

Early 90's - but graphics like that are often added by the owner.

Check the serial number for the year of mfg.

The boat is 100 miles away & so far, the owner hasn't sent a hull #, so I'll go with the "early 90s" estimate. Thanks.
Assuming that it is in good shape, no major problems, does $1500 sound like a fair price (no trailer)?

That would depend upon prices in your area, but it doesn't sound out of line...assuming its in good shape as you say. Used 80's boats in Virginia that are in good shape (generally with a trailer so assume $400 or so value for that) have been known to sell for that price.
