Post subject:  Recommendations for buying parts online

Hi,

I have an '81 H16. Just wondering if any of you know a good place to get parts online. Looking to replace pins, rudder/tiller set up, batten caps, tramp, do some sail repair (sewing), and some cosmetic stuff on the hulls over the next year or so ...as I can afford it. I've been able to get things here and there from several local dealers but would rather just get everything in one place at a more reasonable price. I know I've overpaid in some situations just because I was in a rush to replace a part and it was a pain to find.

Thanks!

Try Surf City Catamarans. Jeremy posts on this forum often and appears to be very knowledgable. (831)359-5918

Jeremy at Surf City Catamarans is a Hobie Dealer. I don't believe Murrays is. I've never shopped at Surf City Cat. nor have I ever met Jeremy, but he enjoys a very good reputation out here in Southern CA helping to promote our sport. Ron Lane at Fast Lane Sailng is our local Hobie Dealer, but I use Murrays as a back-up in case Ron doesn't have the part I'm looking for. I don't rake my mast back, so I buy longer shrouds and a shorter forestay from Murrays every few years.
Please try a Hobie Dealer first. I think you'll find that their prices are competitive and you'll be helping the people who help our Hobie community.
You didn't mention where you are located.
Good luck Kim D.
