Can anyone post some pictures of the jib rigged? The jib under power would be great. Thanks |

Not sure what you are really looking for, but there are a bunch of images in our H16 gallery: http://www.hobiecat.com/sailing/gallery_index.php?model=hobie16&img_num=01&res=lr |

Oleg - I'm with you - why is it so hard to find/help on rigging and whats with the total lack of photos online? The help I do find is all text and well - not of much value. I had/have? no idea how to rig mine - when I bought my first boat a few months ago (3?) it was rigged wrong and I tried to use it as is. I bought a 2nd boat (2 months ago) and it was rigged differently (correct?) not sure - I also changed some things on both boats that seemed... MORE LOGICAL to me - and has helped in controlling the boat alone much more easy. I just shot a bunch of pictures of my rigging this past weekend. I'll post them later today if I get a chance. I also re-strung the block for the main and swapped the lower block with the top - this allowed me to add an additional wheel (pully) that wasn't being used at all. Looks better and works better now - I have pics of before (old owners way) and my totally (novice) way - but logical way that I'm using now. Will post a.s.a.p! Ron (none of those hobie pics help) they fun, but not informative. You need more instructional items on your site like I created for the prismkites.com site years ago. I use to design/webmaster their site (for 5 years) and have done much of the photography and video for them as well as all the flash training tutorials. Gave it up due to time... I still have questions about the two tracks forward - for the jib rigging, which is why I took the photos! Will post em soon. |

How about the assembly manual... or at least a detail of what you are looking for? Photos are a-plenty... just need to get a better idea of what part of the jib system is of interest. You can also get the H16 rigging video. That has a lot of detail on stepping the mast and rigging the sails. Check the H16 FAQ (top most topic in this forum) or support pages for the manual link. |

Also try looking in the Hobie catalog http://www.hobiecat.com/sailing/accessories.html. It has some picture/diagrams that have helped me. Page 22 has a diagram of the jib traveler set up. Kent |

I don't want to hijack your thread with my photos - so I'll start a new thread - check there for some of my jib rig pics. these weren't meant for that purpose - just some snaps I have that may help. |
