Is it possible to install a bigger window in the main sail ? Would it be race legal ?

Yep, it's possible....and I love it. Helps a great deal when flying a hull while in close proximity of vessels on your leeward side.

However, I cannot attest to the legality of this modification. All I can say is, no one has bothered me yet.

David, that looks just about perfect ! The jib seems to have a bigger window as well, right ?

Anyone knows why Hobie uses very small windows in the new sails for the H16 ? All other models seem to have bigger windows.

Crobiecat,

My Hobie is an 85 and the windows were still too small for me. Had a sailmaker install the bigger ones on both the main and the jib after I saw another boat with enlarged windows on the main. I love them.
