Can anyone tell the me Harken part number for the lower mainsheet block that is supplied stock on newer Hobie 16s? |

It's an h194, there's a parts breakdown in the H16 FAQ section, it's got all the part numbers |

Sam Sam, you may be very happy with the 2629 on your 16 - as I am with it on my 14 and 17 where I need to dump a lot of sheet in a tack to keep from weathervaning. But it is overkill on the 16. You also cannot sheet as tight (block to block) as you can with a 194 modified with the eystrap on the side. The list price on the 2629 is $246.05 List price on the 194 is $217.75 That's nearly $30 of overkill. |

oK, I think I finaly got the correct links. the current one is still right at $200, but IMO a much better block I got introuble, because Rick who runs Catsailor.com makes part of his earnings by selling his products at his online store (I have bought stuff from him a few time and am very happy to do so) did not appriciate a post that took his business else were. It was a good link! There is really nothing wrong with stirring a pot every now and than. It is just a discussion about which blocks people recommend. I had a few extra $$$ when I bought mine and am very happy with them. The Swiftcord literally flies through the blocks (even in light wind), does not tangle in its self, does not get heavy when wet (good and bad). I have heard great things about Salsa line and other lines but will recommend this line any time I am asked. I also have the micro air blocks on my jib. Now, I did skimp quit a bit and am using a .05 a foot black line that I got from Lowes and has been just fine for the last 4 years. This sheet is in the sun practically 7/24 in NM and is holding up just fine. Just my .02 Sam |

yeah i got the new england rope Bzzz line for my sheets..8mm for main, 7mm for jib... wish the main was 9mm though.....8mm just seems small in diameter for what im used too...but i havent used it yet (boat is in 100000000 pieces) so i will report in the winter when i finally get her out on the water! |
