I was browsing the nacra site and I've found a set up for cat trax that I've not seen before and don't know why i didn't think of my self. check out this link and get back to me. http://www.nacra.co.uk/ <----------- on that page, look under their "cat trax" link. Does hobie make anything comparable? Cause I'd rather give my $$ to Hobie and not it to europe. is there a mod that I can do to mine that may be cheaper than buying them? I already have a set but they dont have the cradles? |

Look on page 31 of the Hobie catalog. The H16 does not need cradles but part number 1624 works great. Hobie also offer another set of trax's, come to think about it I think it is the same one that Na%$# offers, the Euro trax, 2 piece axle and cradles come standard! Thank you both, I already own a set but it does not have the cradles its just the strieght pipe. Can I buy the cradles seperate and add them on to the axle and wheels i already own? Or how about saveing a buck and makeing them. If so out of what? I'd assume they would have to be pretty darn strong. as always your thoughts and comments are apppreciated, Chris. |

Chris, I bought a set of the EuroTrax last year to replace my 20 year old CatTrax and to provide cradled beach wheels for my Tiger. The cradles are easily removable, but the axle is bare aluminum and not suitable for use without some sort of protection. I've found the round cradles work fine on my Tiger, 16 and 14. The cradle width is easily adjustable without tools. I've got the knobby tires which work well on pavement and hard surfaces. If you're going into soft sand, get the slicks. Matt |
