Post subject: | How do I remove sail numbers? |
I have relatively new sails that came with numbers and letters. I'd like to remove them and apply my own. I think Hobie sails are Dacron. Can anyone answer a few questions: How do I remove them, chemicals, etc.? What's the best material to use for new letters? Does anyone make custom logos, letters and numbers for sails? Thanks, Han |

Sail numbers can be peeled off. Use zippo lighter fluid to remove any left over adhesive. I got this tip from the local sailmaker. Any sailmaker can supply sticky back sail number material that you can cut out. I think Hobie sells sail numbers too cheers Bill |
