Do the boats leave the factory with any type of sealant or wax applied to the hulls? If so, what do you (the factory) or you (the dealers) recommend. If there is a sealant of some type, do you recommend it be buffed off and replaced with a good marine wax? If there is nothing applied at the factory, should I apply something before putting it on the beach? Thanks!

We buff the hulls with some wax during the assembly process, but I suggest using Starbrite Marine polish for sealing the hulls to be sure all surfaces are coated.

Thanks Matt. One question... Should the wax put on at the factory be stripped off before the StarBrite polish is applied or is it ok to go right over the factory wax?

I'd go right over it.

The Hobie cleaner and protectant work really good too. Watch where you spray the protectant. It's really slick when wet. Aka don't put it on the spots your feet go when trapping.
