My trailer came with a rear yoke that folds down for launching. I modified it so I could speed up rigging solo.

I stand on the trailer at the front of the boat, remove the mast from the front yoke and easly push it back and pin it quickly at the mast base hinge. The mast rolls on a roller on the rear yoke. I also modified the rear yoke to telescope up about 3 feet. To be honest, I love the mast rolling feature, but rarely raise the yoke.

Thats a sweet little system. It's hefting the first three feet that's the bulk of the effort. How is the base of that stand attached to the trailer?

The yoke swings down for launch. Looks like I need to replace my rope that keeps it from dragging during launch. The black square tube slides in the white square tube for raising the yoke. You can see the T-handle I use to lock the telescoping yoke at the height I want.

I like it, your right the first 3 feet or so are the killers especially with a bad back and an 18' boat. I use a 8" 2x4 with a v notch in the end to make it easier to raise. When I had my 16 in Miami and lived 5 miles from Hobie beach I used to trailer it backward, to make launching and set up easer, 1 man operation or totally inexperienced girlfriend, as we used to launch from the beach and leave our vehicles there at the waters edge, (33 years ago). :D
