Ok.. So I have a dirt cheap 16 I have managed to procure by buying a boat that had been smashed up by a run away tractor destroying one hull.. So one night I come home with a tramp and frame, and all the trimmings.. and a very short time later I come home with a trailer (in need of work to say the least) and a couple hulls..
Now.. I have a solid and very decent Port side hull... and two Starboard hulls that both need some kind of repair.. One of them is yellow and has some decent delamination.. in a couple places.. and the white one that matches the Port hull has the front pylon popped loose.. Repairing the pylon makes more sense to me than fixing delam issues...
But the question I have... On the outside of the Starboard hull there is this imperfection that runs down the side of the hull for several feet.. But it is solid and the interior or the exterior of the hull shows any sign of repair It kinds looks like somebody might have slid it onto a improperly setup trailer one to many times... But I have seen this on other boats I have looked at...
Is this just something that happened when the thing was built.. Like I bought the boat that was built on Friday afternoon
Or.. Does it have a purpose??? Or is it something I should fix?I circled the area in question in red in this cropped photo.. I can take a better picture if need be.
