I'm replacing the cracked plastic nuts on my 78 H 16 pylon bolts with new 1/2 X 13 nyloc nuts. How tight should they be? |

Just snug - not real tight or you can crack the castings The bolts are in shear, not tension, so the nuts don't have to be tight - they just keep the bolt from falling out. |

You can use the original nylon or the Stainless Nylock. |
