Is is possible to make my own hiking straps by using grommets , without taking the trampoline off the boat, I want to grommet these straps to the trampoline. I am new to this, its just a idea. thanks |

Might be tough with the tramp tensioned. You need a solid surface to hammer the grommets against. Maybe a 4x4 on end under the tramp? |

To replace the hiking straps I at one time went to a junk yard and got a seat belt out of an old car. That was free. Then for 15 or 20 bucks I had someone at an upholstry shop sew them on for me. To be honest though, I have never felt I needed hiking straps, although I am 6'4" and hiking out would be a bit uncomfortable. Just a thought. |

Another thought, after grommet installation at desired spots run 1/4" to 3/8" line with neoprene AC line insulation over lines between grommet spots. Feet slide in and out of these type hiking straps very well. |
