Ok, both were in proper position until my son decided he wanted to figure out how the cams work. I admire his curioristy, but now I can't get them back up. Any suggestions on how to get them back into proper postion? I'm sure there is a trick to it, but I haven't got them to release. |

Blade screw driver. Wedge between the cam and the plunger. Force the plunger down and rotate the cam open. Be sure to lubricate before sailing. Read the cams FAQ in the sailing faq forum. |

thanks, finally got it, lubed and lightened the tension somewhat. Hopefully that keeps it from happening again. Cheers, Brian |

i dont want to risk scaring up the plastic plunger so what i do is, if the rudder casts are not still attached to the boat, i hold the castings between my feet, and take a screwdriver and put it under that little lip on the cam itself and just pull up. as long as i hold the castings tight enough, the cams will pop right up with a good tug. |

Thanks, after I reduced the tenson, that is esentially what I did as well. It is amazing how something so simple is strong enough to hold those rudders down in the water. |
