Does anyone have an opinion on these aftermarket wings for the 16 foot, they are $1000 bones, are they worth it Marty |

I got them on my 16 because my father-in-law is getting old and creaky but still enjoys sailing it. Once you get used to them the wings are fun and comfortable. I'd say the quality is pretty good, they are light, easy to install and remove, and the web site's claims are accurate. As for the cost to value ratio, well. . . that's for you to decide. If you sail frequently enough, like to take it easy once in a while, and/or have unskilled passengers aboard then give them serious consideration. Also, they are priced about the same as wings for the Getaway. |

Do the edges pose any sharpness issues? They appear to be on the sharp side. As far as the cost goes I think they are in line with all sailing prodcts...... the windisfre Maty |

The edges are rounded and there is nothing sharp. I really don't have anything to complain about the wings design. They work as intended and are not oversold. The owners were responsive and delivery was prompt. |

Suppose you flip your hobie in the middle of the lake, is it difficult to get back on with the wings blocking the sides? |

I climb on the boat from the front cross beam and between the hulls, so the wings aren't an issue. |
