It was 8 hours worth of driving but she's home now. I just bought a 1990 Hobie 16 with trailer. Now it's time to do some fixing up.  First I must fix the broken mast foot on the font crossbar. The steplink bolt holes are broken out. Next it will be a small hole repair in the fiberglass, then some better sails. Can you believe I have Mylar sails with all the Mylar peeled off of them! I will take them for a sail and see what happens. Let the fun begin! |

Mylar sails? Pretty cool! The originals will serve ya better. You can check the age of mylar sails much like counting the rings on a tree, only by counting the holes in the sail! lol jk. Good luck with the new hobie I'm jealous. |
