| Post subject: | New shrouds? |
I'm looking at replacing my Hobie 16 standing rigging and wondering what y'all's suggestions might be when it comes to the shrouds- 1/8" or 5/32", standard or hydraulic swage? Also, what is proper length for the shrouds today? Has this changedsince my boat was produced in 1986? Thanks for all of your help. Chopper |

If the forestay hasn't been replaced recently I would add that and the bridles too. I would just order OEM equipment and be done with it. It will be the correct length and diameter. |

We shortened the shrouds in April of '94 to 18' 11", so yours are likely the same. The standard wires are fine at 1/8" and standard swedges. |
