can anyone tell me the difference between bias cut and mesh tramps?
I have an old vinyl tramp and have looked at the new mesh tramps. As I was looking on ebay for tramps I find several "bias cut" tramps. Is this just another name for mesh?

also does anyone know where to find a tramp for less than a "C note"?

Just be advised that factory Hobie trampolines are the only ones legal for class racing - and the quality is fantastic. They last for years and years.

"Bias cut" tramps have the weave of the mesh running at a 45° angle to the frame. They tend to be "one-piece"; the weave angle helps minimize wrinkles.

So "bias" cut tramps are mesh, but not all mesh tramps are bias cut.

As for cheap trampolines, your only real hope is to watch eBay. You're never going to get a new one for less than $100. Even the used ones that sell for that much are probably not going to look good, need hiking straps or need other work.

As almost anyone on this forum will tell you, the quality of the Hobie Cat brand tramps is far superior to any aftermarket offering. The seams are RF welded, not stitched. They last a long time. And yeah, they're expensive - and worth it.

You get what you pay for.
