I finally got my boat back together after a 3-4 month restoration. I have 79' sails, 82' hulls and all new wire rigging (as suggested with all used boats). The tramp is new and all the lines were replaced. I still have a little fine tuning to do and if anyone sees something weird about my boat in these pictures then I would glad to hear it.
My concern is how close the jib is to the mast. I sailed this boat all last summer but don't remember that being the case. I think the bridle wires might be too long. Any ideas or am I just being paranoid?

Your jib looks normal to me. You can search the forums and find that the battens are always getting stuck on the mast when tacking...while annoying, it's normal!

Good job. Nice clean looking 16! I've always liked the silver in lieu of black anodized aluminum even tho mines black.

Funny you should say that about the silver mast. I am going to switch it over to black because the black one I have is straighter and cleaner. This was a much debated topic with me and my crew (wife who is 8 months pregnant) as to whether I should have silver and black on the finished boat.

And while I know the jib rubs the mast all the time with these I thought it was worst now than it was last summer that I sailed it. Too much mast rake? Long bridles? just being paranoid?

What did you use to "re-fresh the aluminum"?

Good lighting when I took the picture... :D Really though, I used a wire brush on the upper and lower rudder castings and SOS pads on every thing else. The mast and boom are untouched because they are going to be replaced with black ones.

Here are some other pictures broke down. I will post ones soon enough with the black mast and see what difference that makes. Is it some sort of faux pas to use a black mast and boom with silver stering? The side rails are going to be carpeted so they don't count.
