Boat is nearly complete, just missing a downhaul system and double trap wires (continuous preferably). If any of you folks have wither or both parts for sale please let me know. Downhaul preferably 6:1 and trap can have handles or not depending on price

I don't know how you are set up, but double trap wires are easy to build if you have a swage tool ($ 25.00, the 2 piece one tightened with a half inch wrench) and a vice. It is a good place to learn swaging since the loads are relatively low. I've also used it to make replacement upper forestay w/swivel on my H17Sport. Note: all boat rigging should be double swagged. Also, I like to cut the wire with a dremel instead of a wire cutter, this way you get a cleen cut and don't crush the end

You can't beat this place for hand swaging tools..19.00 for the one to do most every thing on a Hobie. The S&F cable cutters 18.00 will instantly and cleanly cut any cable you may use on a Hobie.

$42 for a pair $80 set of 4. Hobie dealer should have them for around $50 a Pair.
Thats with handles and either black or white coated.

Please do not make your own shrouds, or any other standing rigging. Lots of rigging failures due to homemade rigging. Even saw a 12 year old with a broken arm from homemade rigging.
